The birth of a baby is beautiful... and then it's not. Bringing a baby into the world is a tremendous moment in a new parent's life, but it doesn't come without its share of challenges.
Rapper Travis Scott recalled that special day during a recent interview on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" where he also revealed what made him totally grossed out during the delivery.
Scott, who welcomed daughter Stormi in February with his girlfriend Kylie Jenner, told DeGeneres that the birth was his first time ever in a delivery room. It seems the "Astroworld" singer was not quite prepared for all that was to come.
While he gushed about how in love he is with his new baby girl, Scott divulged that one part of the delivery had him nearly running for the hills. He told DeGeneres, "It was so scary. This is actually my first delivery room. She's walking me through this whole process. There's this thing called the placenta that I've just been hearing about. Oh my God. I was fearful of that."
Despite being scared of seeing the placenta, Scott did admit that he played one crucial role in the delivery of his daughter- cutting the umbilical cord.
He gave credit to his girlfriend's mother, Kris Jenner, for helping him get through the birth without passing out. "She held it down, mama K.J. She's the best, man."
Kylie's mom revealed on a recent episode of the family's reality show "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" that she actually helped deliver Stormi. Jenner detailed how she literally "pulled her out" of her daughter's body.
Kylie's older sister, Kim Kardashian, seemed a little nauseated at the surprising news, simply replying "Ew!" to her mom's astonishing story.
Although the birth of his first child may have been a little more than Scott bargained for, that hasn't kept him from enjoying the first year of his daughter's life. He gushed about parenthood during his interview with DeGeneres, saying, "When you first had a baby in your arms, it's uncontrollable. It's this whole warp that takes over your body. I never thought I could just love something so hard."
The rapper may be making a return visit to the delivery room soon as sources have revealed that he and Jenner are currently trying for another baby. After his crash course in delivery-room procedures he should be much more prepared for the next birth.
