The video shows measurements based on the body measurements. However, there are some clothes where the measurements are based on the flat width/outer measurements of the clothing and not the body measurements. For outer measurements, lay your own clothes on the bed flat and measure from end to end. Body measurements are greater/larger than outer measurements when viewing size charts. That difference can help in determining the type of measurements displayed in the size charts. Review the size chart to determine how to get your measurements.
