Summer is still sizzling and many of us are attempting to look our best. Looking great helps us to feel great about ourselves which is always a good self-esteem booster. With many diets out there to consider, it can sometimes feel aggravating to find out where to begin. One easy way to cut back calories is to avoid certain items on the fast food menu.

Although this isn't necessarily a diet guide, this can help you to ignore the highest-calorie foods that can certainly add up. Here are the highest calorie fast food items that you should avoid if you can help it.

Cinnabon's Caramel Pecanbon

Oh goodness, who can truly resist such a sweet treat? Although delicious, Cinnabon's caramel pecanbon, which is a delicious combination of caramel and pecans on top of a classic sugary roll, has 1080 calories. To put things into perspective, eating one of these is like the equivalent of shoving lunch and dinner down your throat at the same time.

Wendy's Triple Beef Patty Burger

Sure, every now and then we have a craving for something juicy, greasy, and fattening. This classic Wendy's sandwich sure can satisfy this craving, but at a gigantic cost: this triple threat contains 1070 calories. You might want to skip this option next time.

Taco Bell's Mountain Dew Baja Blast

If you order one extra large Mountain Dew Baja Blast from Taco Bell, you'll be wasting 1,134 calories on a beverage alone. That's not even including the burrito you'll be eating with it. Yikes!

Cheesecake Factory's Bistro Shrimp Pasta

Although this isn't necessarily a fast food per say, we felt it deserved an honorable (or maybe dishonorable) mention. This dish from the sea has 3,120 calories. That is more than one and a half of the calories you are supposed to consume in one day. The buttons of your favorite pair of skinny jeans would probably burst open after eating this.

Although fast food has its purpose, it also certainly has its calories. Always consult with a doctor to make sure you are eating the correct amount of calories for your body weight. Until then, try to avoid these fast food items as best as you can!
