'Tis the season to snuggle up and get cozy while watching some heartwarming Christmas movies with your family and friends. There's no better way to liven up the holidays than with these classic movies- some new and some old- that are guaranteed to become a tradition in your house. 

1. Home Alone (1990) 

A hilarious story about 8-year-old Kevin McCallister's adventures when his family accidentally leaves him home alone during their family holiday trip to Paris. 

2. The Nightmare Before Christmas (1993) 

A stop-motion animated film which follows Jack Skellington as he discovers Christmastown and tries to figure out a way to become Santa Claus. 

3. It's a Wonderful Life (1946) 

George Bailey, a man who's pondering whether his life is still worth living, is visited by his guardian angel who shows him just how important he is to the world around him. 

4. Elf (2003) 

Buddy the Elf travels to New York City in search of his birth father. He faces numerous challenges along his journey, which he embarks on with childlike wonder.
