Kim Kardashian May Have Just Committed A Major Fashion Faux Pas

The queen of reality television is known for pushing the envelope when it comes to her style choices, but this time she may have gone a little too far. Kim Kardashian was seen out and about in West Hollywood a few days ago wearing a fashion combination most dads would envy- tube sock with slide sandals. 

Donning her husband Kanye West's fashion line from head-to-toe, the mom of three paired beige tube socks with soft, velcro slide sandals in the same shade. The interesting footwear choice coordinated with her black windbreaker jacket and biker shorts from the Yeezy line. 

While most people wouldn't dare to step out of the house dressed like that, the makeup mogul had no problem strutting her stuff while running errands in the comfortable outfit. The mom to North, 5, Saint, 2, and Chicago, 6 months, isn't the only celebrity rocking this new trend. 

Although they didn't go quite as far as Kardashian did with her relaxed style, both Rihanna and Jennifer Lopez have been spotted wearing socks with stilettos in recent months. Rihanna started the craze back in December 2017 when she posted a photo of herself wearing a $1,340 pair of crystal-embellished Gucci socks with white stilettos to her Instagram account. 

Jennifer Lopez followed suit in January 2018, posing for a sexy photo in similar Gucci socks which she paired with purple, diamond-encrusted stilettos. While other members of the Kardashian clan have been spotted wearing tube socks in recent months, the second-eldest Kardashian sister has really been making a push for the tube sock movement. 

She's sported biker shorts and tube socks with different pairs of Yeezy sneakers on several occasions in preparation for the Yeezy Season 7 premiere. The slouchy sock look was a popular choice for gym-goers in the 1980s and 1990s, and often made appearances on favorite family sitcoms like "The Fresh Prince of Bel Air" and "Saved by the Bell." 

It's still up for debate whether or not the tube sock look will be making a comeback. It could fade away as quickly as other trends started by the "Selfish" author, like the trench coat look, which she started while pregnant with her first daughter. 

For now, the Kardashian family is embracing the saggy sock look, pairing them with everything from tight bodysuits to puffer jackets. It's a look that only reality television's most famous family can successfully pull off.
